SADA is the Smart Africa Alliance's continental digital-skills model. It equips citizens, youth, professionals and policymakers across 54 African Member States through five programs, targeting 1.9 million people by 2030. Smart Africa sets the standards; governments lead delivery.
Four ways: fund a program, provide certifications and technology, open internships and jobs, or co-invest in national rollouts. Engagement follows a five-step path, from an interest letter to a signed MoU to measured delivery.
Yes. Every program embeds a 3 to 5 year transition from donor grants to national government and industry co-financing, plus a trainer-of-trainers model and institutional embedding inside government structures.
Through shared dashboards tracking enrolment, completion, certification and the application of skills inside institutions, with mandatory gender-disaggregated reporting and quarterly reviews.
The Smart Africa Secretariat provides continental oversight, standards and quality assurance. In each country, a Lead Institution (typically the Ministry of ICT) and a national focal point coordinate delivery with local partners.
